1. My Muze Streaming Competition
Vodacom (Pty) Ltd (“Vodacom”) is running the My Muze Streaming Competition (the “Competition”) where one (1) customer stands a chance to win R30 000 (“the Prize”) at the end of the competition.
All participants during the term of the Competition agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions:
Duration
The Competition is open to all Vodacom customers only (and shall run from 00h01 on the 24th of November 2021 (the “Start Date”) to 23h59 on the 23rd of March 2022 (the “End Date”) (“Competition period”).;
1. The duration of the Competition may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of Vodacom.
Prizes
2.One (1) lucky entrant stands a chance of winning R30 000 (inclusive of VAT). The Prize will be transferred into the winner's bank account via electronic transfer. The winner will be required to provide a bank letter as a proof of their bank account details.
Eligibility
3.Only entries received during the Competition period as stipulated in clause 1 above will qualify as a potential winner.
4.The Competition is only open to natural persons at least 18 years and older. Entries received from business accounts held by legal persons (amongst other Corporates and SMEs, etc.) all employees, representatives and agents of Vodacom, their respective parents and/or affiliated companies, contest suppliers are excluded from participating and winning in the Competition.
5.Any participant under the age of 18 shall present their parent / guardian’s written consent to enter the Competition at Vodacom’s request.
6. Only entrants who are using SIM cards that have been RICA registered are eligible to win the Competition. Each owner of a SIM card(s) is responsible to comply with South African law by RICA registering their SIM cards.
7.Employees, directors and agents of Vodacom and all participating stores, their immediate families, life partners, business partners and associates and any person directly involved with the sponsoring, devising, production, management, or marketing of this Competition are not eligible to participate in this Competition.
8. Participants must reside in South Africa and be in possession of a valid South African identity document or permanent residence permit or temporary residence permit valid for a period exceeding 3 (three) months for the Republic of South Africa and valid at the End Date.
9. In the event that the user of the mobile phone (i.e., the participant in the Competition) is not the person that is responsible for payment of the participating mobile phone account/ charges, then the prize will be awarded to the person that is responsible for payment of the participating mobile phone account/ charges.
Valid Entry
10.To stand a chance of winning in the Competition,.
10.1 Join or be an existing My Muze Streaming subscriber using the R5/day subscription service during the term of the Competition:
10.1.1 Either via dialling the USSD string *127*1#
10.1.2 Or by subscribing via the relevant web pages displaying the Competition information and prize (s)
10.2.Be successfully charged for the My Muze Streaming Service, at least once during the term of the Competition at a charge rate of R5/day.
Collect at least 100 points on the My Muze Streaming service during the term of the Competition.
11. Participants are allowed to enter multiple times. However, the participant’s chance of winning will remain subject to the points mechanics rules applying during the Competition period as stipulated in clause 16 of these Terms and Conditions.
12. Subscribers will also be able to obtain more information on the Competition by sending the following keywords to the SMS long codes for each category for free:
12.1 “INFO” to get more information about the service.
12.2 “POINTS” to get to know the points in the draw.
13. There are no additional charges for participating in the Competition apart from the standard data costs to upload a valid entry, as explained in clause 10 above. Standard data costs apply as per the user’s Service Provider and existing price plan for data usage.
14.Vodacom shall not be liable for any costs incurred by the winner for entering the Competition or in claiming any prizes, where applicable.
15.Data transfer speeds are not guaranteed and are dependent on network availability and utilisation.
15.1 For the sake of clarity, each participant can earn a maximum of 100 points per day on the My Muze Streaming based on their existing daily subscription.
15.2 Each draw will be conducted on the dates specified in the table above within the Competition period.
Points Mechanism of the Service Competition
16.The following points will be awarded to each participant who joins the Competition by the means described in clause 10 of these:

16.1 Points cannot be transferred from one Subscriber to another.
16.2 The points earned by a participant of the Competition applies and accrues every time a user is charged successfully on the My Muze Streaming Premium service.
16.3 The number of points earned by each participant represents the number of entries that participant holds in the random draw.
Prize draw
17. The winner will be randomly selected on the 30th of March 2022, a week after the End Date (23rd of March 2022) from all eligible entries who meet all the requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions The verified winner will be notified within 7 days after he / she has been selected and verified as a winner.
The draw will identify 1 winner and 10 runners up, who will be entitled to become the winner if the first selected participant as winner do not comply with the eligibility criteria.
Winner Validation
18. All the information provided or related to this Competition shall be managed, captured and approved by Vodacom.
19. Vodacom will share personal details of the respective winner, such as name and contact number with Vodacom approved third party service providers for the Competition namely, Mondia Media and Upstream Systems South Africa Pty (Ltd) (“Vodacom appointed service providers for the Competition”) who will notify the respective winner that they have won, and you hereby agree to such disclosure as is necessary to effect Prize fulfilment.
20. Vodacom and / or its appointed service providers for the Competition will use reasonable efforts to contact the winner on the contact details provided by the participants when entering the Competition.
21. Vodacom and / or its appointed service providers for the Competition shall attempt to contact the winner for a period of 2 (two) normal working weekdays after their names have been drawn and verified as a winner. The winner will be contacted during normal working hours, between 8 (eight) in the morning and 5 (five) in the afternoon. The winner will be advised of arrangements in respect of the prize at the time of contacting the selected winner.
22. Should a participant not be available on the contact details provided during the timeframe stipulated above or rejects, forfeits, or declines acceptance of the prize, that person's right to the prize will be deemed to have been waived and the prize will be forfeited. Vodacom reserves the right to then award the prize to the next randomly drawn participant.
23. The claim for any prize will be subject to security and validation, and Vodacom reserves the right to withhold any prize until it is satisfied that the claim by a particular winner is valid. The selected winner (s) must be able to identify themselves, in a manner determined by Vodacom, as the qualifying entrants to the Competition and have to comply with the required validation procedure, determined by Vodacom, in order to claim any prizes, failing which such winner will forfeit the prize and the prize will be awarded to the next selected qualifying entrant.
24. Notwithstanding the fact that the prizes vest in the winner immediately upon the determination of the results, in the event that the required documentation from a particular winner has not been received at the agreed cut-off date communicated to the winner, or no effort is made on the part of any of the winner to make special arrangements to meet the deadline set by Vodacom, such prize will be forfeited. Vodacom then reserves the right to award the prize to the finalist that is next in line.
25. The winner’s name and location will be displayed on after a period of 2 (two) working days after notification of the winner.
26. Vodacom shall request the winner’s consent in writing to his / her image and/or likeness being used and published by Vodacom in connection with the Competition for a period of 12 (twelve) months after he / she has been announced as the winner. The winner may decline the use of his / her image and/or likeness by Vodacom.

Prize Delivery
27. The Prize will be transferred into winner’s bank account via electronic transfer. Each winner will be required to provide a bank letter as a proof of their bank account details.
28. No prize is transferable or exchangeable.
29. If a winner cannot accept a prize for any reason whatsoever, the Prize will be awarded to the next selected entrant.
30. All risks and ownership of the Prizes shall pass to the winner on transfer thereof and hence all of Vodacom’s obligations in regard to the Competition as well as in regard to the Prizes shall terminate.
Personal information
31. User data collected via the Competition will not be used for any other purpose than for execution of the Competition.
32. User data collected via entry for this Competition will be stored for as long as it is legally required to and in accordance with Vodacom’s Privacy Policy,Vodacom’s Privacy Policy
General
33. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit, or avoid any rights or obligations, as the case may be, created for either the participant or the promoter in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 ("CPA").
34. The judges’ decision on any aspect of the Competition including the allocation of the prizes will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
35. In the event of a dispute in regard to any aspect of the Competition and/or the Terms and Conditions, Vodacom’s decision will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
36. Vodacom may refuse to award a Prize if entry procedures or these Terms and Conditions have not been adhered to or if it detects any irregularities or fraudulent practices. Vodacom is entitled in its entire discretion to reject any participant for any reason and will not be obliged to notify participants that they are rejected.
37. Vodacom and/or any other person or party associated with the Competition, their associated companies, agents, contractors and sponsors and any of its personnel involved in the Competition, shall not be liable whatsoever for any loss or damage incurred or suffered (including but not limited to direct or indirect or consequential loss), death or personal injury suffered or sustained arising from either participation in the Competition or from claiming the prize.
38. Vodacom is not liable for any technical failures affecting participation and / or Prize redemption process of the Competition. In addition, neither Vodacom nor its agents shall be responsible for any loss or misdirected entries, including entries that were not received due to any failure of hardware, software, or other computer or technical systems affecting participating in and/or the prize redemption process of the Competition.
39. Vodacom, its directors, employees, agents and distributors, are not responsible for any misrepresentation (whether written or verbal) in respect of any prize nor in respect of any warranties, guarantees or undertakings given by any person other than Vodacom itself.
40. If Vodacom is required by law to alter or cancel any aspect of the Competition or to terminate it as a result of changes in legislation, or for any reason whatsoever, it will have the right to terminate the Competition being offered, with immediate effect and without notice. In such event all entrants hereby waive any rights which they may have against Vodacom and its associated companies, agents, contractors and/or sponsors.
41. All information relating to the Competition which is published on any marketing material will form part of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between such marketing material and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

2. Vodacom My Muze Summer Competition
Vodacom (Pty) Ltd (“Vodacom”) in conjunction with its service provider Mondia Media (Pty) Ltd (Mondia) is running the My Muze Summer Competition(“the Competition”). All participants during the term of the Competition agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions:
1.The Competition is open to Vodacom subscribers only from at [00:00]10 December 2021 to [00:00] 10 March 2022 (the “End Date”) (“Competition period”). The duration of the Competition may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of Vodacom. 120 (one hundred and twenty) lucky entrants will stand a chance of winning their share of prizes to the value of R40 000 over twelve weeks. The prizes include 12 x Samsung A01Galaxy Phones; 15 x Volkano Bluetooth headphones; 25 x R250 Takealot vouchers and 68 x 500MB Data vouchers.
2.To enter you must: 2.1. Subscribe to the My Muze R5 daily Streaming service https://www.mymuze.com 2.2. Remain a paid-up subscriber on the My Muze R5 daily Streaming subscription service platform (https://www.mymuze.com) for the period of the Competition; and up to when the prize is delivered.
3. The Competition is only open to natural persons aged 18 years and older. Entries received from business accounts held by legal persons (amongst others Corporates and SMEs, etc.) are excluded from participating and winning in the Competition.
4. Only entries received during the Competition period as stipulated in clause 1 above will qualify as potential winners.
5. Vodacom will select the winners via random draw commencing 10 January 2022, over a twelve (12) week period . There shall be ten (10) winners weekly over this twelve (12) week period. The winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries who meet all the requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions.
6. The verified winners will be notified within 4 working days after he / she has been selected and verified as a winner.
7. In the event that the user of the mobile phone (i.e. the participant in the Competition) is not the person that is responsible for payment of the participating mobile phone account/ charges, then the prize will be awarded to the person that is responsible for payment of the participating mobile phone account/ charges.
8. Mondia will use reasonable efforts to contact the winners [telephonically or via SMS] on the contact details provided by the participants to participate in the Competition.
9. The winner will be contacted during normal working hours, between 9 (nine) in the morning and 4 (four) in the afternoon.
10. Mondia shall attempt to contact the winner for a period of three (3) normal working weekdays after their name have been drawn and verified as winner.
11. Should a participant not be available on the contact number provided during the timeframe stipulated above or rejects, forfeits, or declines acceptance of the prize, that person's right to the prize will be deemed to have been waived and the prize will be forfeited. Mondia reserves the right to then award the prize to the next randomly drawn participant.

Notwithstanding the fact that the prize vest on the winner immediately upon the determination of the results, in the event that the required documentation from the winner has not been received at the agreed cut-off date communicated to the winner, or no effort is made on the part of the winner to make special arrangements to meet the deadline set by Vodacom, the prize will be forfeited. 17. If the winner cannot accept the prize or for any reason whatsoever, the prize will be awarded to the next selected entrant.
18. All risks and ownership of the prize shall pass to the winner on transfer/delivery thereof and hence all of Vodacom’s obligations regarding the Competition as well as in regard to the prizes shall terminate.

Vodacom shall request the winners’ consent in writing to their image and/or likeness being used and published by Vodacom in connection with the Competition for a period of 12 (twelve) months after they have been announced as winners. The winners may decline the use of their image and/or likeness by Vodacom.
20. All the information provided or related to this Competition shall be managed and captured by a Vodacom approved third party service provider (Mondia Media (Pty) Ltd) for the purpose of running the Competition only and facilitating delivery of the prize. To enable our third party service provider to deliver the prize we will need your full name, ID number, mobile phone number and physical address.
21. User data collected (full name, ID number, mobile phone number and physical address) via the Competition will not be used for any other purpose than for the execution of the Competition only.
22. User data collected via the entry for this Competition will be stored for as long as we are legally required to and in accordance with Vodacom’s Privacy Policy: http://www.vodacom.co.ls/vodacom/terms/privacy-policy If there is no legal requirement, the collected information will only be stored for as long as it is needed.
23. In order to effect arrangements required for the prize fulfilment in terms of this Competition, Vodacom shall provide the winner’s personal information, such as name, contact number, and physical address details to a Vodacom approved third party ( Mondia Media (Pty) Ltd) for prize distribution and you hereby agree to such disclosure as is necessary to effect the prize fulfilment.
24. Standard data costs apply as per the user’s existing Service Provider and existing price plan for data usage on the portal.
